Claddagh engagement solitaire
This Claddagh ring is hand made in the USA one at a time. It can be made in a stock size so that your local jeweler can size it to your finger and set your stone. Or we will have it made precisely to your size requested as well as for the size of your gemstone.
Designed to last a lifetime, this Claddagh ring is ideal for an engagement ring, solitiare setting for your gemstone, or even a really special birthstone ring.
This is not a typical mass produced ring that is thin, lightweight, and meant to last only for a few years. This is thick and heavy. Even the prongs are extra heavy.
First, we took the ring shank portion, the part in the back that is usually thin, lightweight, prone to cracking and breaking. We gave it a dome shape, like a comfort fit wedding band. We made it 2mm thick and 4mm wide!
The detailed cuffs are 5mm wide. The top of the crown to the bottom of the fingers is 9.5mm wide. The bottom of the heart to the top of the crown is 10.5mm wide. This ring was made for a 1/2ct gem stone of 5-5.5mm. The ring as shown was set with a diamond of VVS clarity, H color and .54cts. All carving, sizing, shaping and detailing is done in the wax by hand, not CNC CAD computer.
This empty Claddagh engagement solitaire setting weighed approximatley 5.5gms in 14kt natural yellow gold. Price for the empty ring up to a size 8 is $495.00 in 14kt and $50 more for white gold.
