Celtic Cross jewelry, charms, pendants and celtic cross necklaces. Made in Ireland and America in gold or silver. The Celtic Cross jewelry represent crosses found throughout Ireland. No one knows for sure if the circle supports the cross members, or if the cross supports the circle... the four sections of the circle are said to represent the four provinces of Ireland and the unity of the cosmos. The Celtic Cross is a symbol of eternity that emphasizes the endlessness of God's love. The circle symbolizes the endlessness of God's love shown through Christ's crucifixion. This cross became a common symbol of Christianity in the 4th century. In the Middle Ages, the cross was erected where an act of violence had been committed, an accident had occurred or in front of farmhouses. Today it is commonly used as a form of gravestones in Ireland. Hoover & Strong Everything is 14k gold unless stated otherwise. |
